Camera · Interview
In four years, young talents are set to play music on the island of Rheinau Abbey. Christoph Blocher is dipping into his private purse for the music centre. The idea of a music centre for young talents on the island of Rheinau Abbey, which died four years ago, is being revived. Former Federal Councillor Christoph Blocher has a heart for music. He has founded the Stiftung Schweizer Musikinsel Rheinau and intends to endow it with 20 million Swiss francs in seed capital. With the foundation, Blocher wants to ‘set up and operate a music centre’ in the premises of the abbey complex, as he said on Monday at a media briefing by the building department in Rheinau.
